KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a man who was caught on video provoking Bersih supporters by hurling racist remarks.
Seremban district police chief Assistant Commissioner Thiew Hock Poh said he is unable to provide further details as the investigation is ongoing.
A 1.57-minute video clip, which has gone viral on social media, depicts the suspect angering a group of Bersih supporters by shouting racial epithets.
Footage of the incident, which took place at Plaza Angsana, Seremban, was first circulated via WhatsApp.
It is believed the incident occurred on Nov 6, as the Bersih 5 convoy was passing through the city from Rembau on the way to Port Dickson.
The convoy is part of a nationwide campaign leading up to the Bersih 5 rally slated to be held on Nov 19.
