KUALA LUMPUR: AppAsia Bhd and Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, have signed a partnership agreement for the purpose of providing an one stop cloud solutions in Malaysia.
"I am confident that this partnership will benefit customers in Malaysia arising from the established relationship that AppAsia has developed with our customers all these years.
"Going forward, the company will work diligently to establish itself as a quality service provider to help merchants, brands and other businesses to leverage the power of the internet to engage with their users and customers via AliCloud," said its group advisor Datuk Nazifuddin Najib at the signing ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur.
Nazifuddin said the increasing internet penetration, rising of mobile internet and access devices with the government spending, the sector which includes mobile applications, e-commerce, m-commerce will witness a growth throughout the coming years.
"The company believes that the internet will transform people's lives and moving the people to a transparent world. Therefore, the company is constantly evolving and strive to be consistently relevant to the clients' and consumers' changing business needs.
Nazifuddin added that Information technology (IT) security service provider and mobile app firm AppAsia has expanded its ventures over previous years into various digital areas.
"Our repertoire has grown to include digital advertising across all media platforms. The building, maintenance and running of several e-commerce websites as well as the development of a leading e-marketplace platform," Nazifuddin said.
With the new AppAsia eMarketPlace, which will be launched by end of this year, customers and members of AppAsia will be able to penetrate the China market as the platform will leverage on AliCloud platform.
