KUALA LUMPUR: TCRS Restaurants Sdn Bhd, operator of 88 The Chicken Rice Shop outlets in Malaysia, expects to see 19 per cent growth in sales in 2017, compared to 2016.
The company recorded sales of RM100 million in 2016.
The company is also expanding its The Chicken Rice Shop franchise to Myanmar, where a local franchise holder there is expected to have five such outlets in operations by yearend.
In total, TCRS Restaurants owns the 88 outlets in Malaysia and two outlets in Singapore, and has franchised out an outlet at KLIA as well as one in Brunei.
TCRS Restaurants chief executive officer Wong Kah Lin said this today at the unveiling of the The Chicken Rice Shop's 'Ayam Ranggup Berapi', a new item on its menu in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year which marks the onset of the year of the Fire Rooster cycle.
