AFTER his hit debut single Ku Rela Dibenci made it into the finals at the recent Anugerah Juara Lagu, popular teen singer Aiman Tino will soon release another tune — his first Raya single for the festive season.
The 18-year-old artiste, whose real name is Aiman Yusry, said the catchy and contemporary tune was composed by his father Yusry Ishak, with lyrics by a family friend, Apit.
“We’ve yet to come up with the title for this song, but I promise fans that the Raya song is fresh, energetic and youthful,” he said after TV3’s Dapur Bonda press conference at Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya recently.
Aiman, the fourth of 10 siblings, will also release a pop-oriented single shortly after Raya.
“Also yet to be titled, it is an upbeat tune which will appeal to youngsters and the young at heart.
“It celebrates the diversity and beauty of Malaysia, and it’s pretty close in spirit to my Raya song.”
A “junior businessman” who owns a beauty products company in a joint venture with Wonder Glow, Aiman is not ruling out an acting career in the future.
“I think I might start with a cameo first on the small screen, and see whether I have what it takes,” he said with a smile.
Aiman will be featured in the five-episode culinary programme Dapur Bonda on TV3’s long-running women’s magazine Nona on Sundays at 2pm.
Besides him, four other young celebrities — actors Amar Baharin, Hafidz Roshdi, Aiman Hakim Ridza and Syafiq Kyle — will be featured.
On the show, they are tasked with bringing their mothers or mothers-in-law to enjoy scrumptious meals jointly prepared by celebrity chef Chef Fikree and themselves.
