KUANTAN: Seventy-three men and two women are wanted by Pahang police to facilitate investigations into murder, rape and other crimes perpetrated in the state.
State Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Othman Nanyan said that the 75 people are sought to assist in probes into murder, rape (five), theft in a building (four), causing hurt (two), motorcycle theft (24), house break-in (21), theft (12), and trespassing (one).
"The two women are being sought to assist investigations into theft and house break-ins," he said, adding that all 75 people are not only sought by the Pahang police but also their counterparts from other states.
"We believe some of the individuals are still in Pahang," he said here today.
He explained that the list of 75 people are from a larger list of 1,770 people wanted by the state police, which are issued to the media from time to time.
Othman urged members of the public to look up the list of 75 people at the state police's official Facebook page, and expressed hope that any information can be immediately shared with the police.
"The faces and information on the people sought, as well as the telephone number of the investigating officer, can be gleaned from the Pahang police official Facebook page.
"Members of the public who have information on the individuals are urged to get in touch with the nearest police station or the investigating officer," he said.
