PORT DICKSON: Not all who wear aprons are chefs. Some may be thieves.
A 24-hour convenience store in Teluk Kemang, here, was robbed by a man wearing an apron two days ago.
In the 4.57am incident, the suspect, pretending to be a customer, entered the premises while another man waited outside in a Proton Saga FLX.
Port Dickson district police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamaed said the suspect, who wore an apron and had a hat on, was armed with a knife.
"The suspect took away cash amounting to RM1,500 from the counter and escaped. The worker (at the store) was not hurt.
"At the time of the incident, another worker was arranging stock," he said in a statement today.
Aidi Sham said a team of police officers rushed to the scene after receiving information at about 5.04am.
They also viewed the closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage at the premises.
He said police are now hunting the two suspects and the case is being investigated under Section 395/297 of the Penal Code.
