KUALA LUMPUR: The restricted movement order will also see a rescheduling of all civil and criminal cases to new dates after March 31.
In a statement issued by the Chief Registrar’s office, it was announced that the hearing of all civil and criminal cases scheduled from March 18 to March 31 will be postponed to new dates.
It stated that the filing and management of all new civil cases and appeal notices via e-filing will go on as normal.
However, in courts which have yet to implement the e-filing system, new cases can only be registered from April 1.
The statement read that remand and bail applications will also remain unaffected by the directive and will go on as normal.
The government yesterday announced the 14-day movement control order to begin March 18 until 31 to curb the Covid-19 infection in the country.
