KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor has landed in hot water yet again for allegedly flouting the Movement Control Order (MCO) standard operating procedures while celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri with her family members at a house in Pinggir Zaaba, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, here last week.
It was learned that 10 of her family members including herself came to the Brickfields Police Headquarters to assist with the investigation.
Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Anuar Omar confirmed the matter and said the investigation was initiated following a report made yesterday.
"Initial investigations found a 26-second video shared by the celebrity's sisters uploaded on Instagram was then shared and went viral on Twitter.
"The video showed the family members gathering at the house during first day of Hari Raya Aidilftri," he said in a statement today.
The case is being investigated under Regulation 17 P.U (A) 225/ 2021.
In April, Noor Neelofa was slapped with RM20,000 fine for flouting the standard operating procedures of the MCO during her wedding ceremony.
She was also fined together with her husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail for violating the interstate travel permit where she engaged in activities outside the scope permitted by the police-issued permit , allegedly for honeymoon in Langkawi.
The newly married couple also came under fire after a video of them shopping for carpets in Nilai 3 went viral.
The couple apparently breached SOP by travelling interstate to shop in Nilai.
