KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 28 revellers comprising 16 men and 12 women had their party cut short after police busted the do at a luxury residence in Jalan Pudu, here, this morning.
The City Criminal Investigations Department (CID) raided the apartment unit on the 36th floor of the building at 1am upon receiving a tip-off.
City CID deputy chief Assistant Commissioner Nasri Mansor said 28 guests, aged 27 and 63, were celebrating a woman's birthday organised by her husband.
"Police found ketamine believed to be consumed by some of the guests invited by the husband and friends to the wife.
"One of the rooms was turned into dance studio equipped with disco light," said Nasri, who led the raid.
He said police also found condoms during the raid, believed to be used by party goers.
"Based on the urine tests done by the City Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department, seven men and four women tested positive for drugs.
"Actions also taken against the unit owner and the residence management for allowing party to be held during the Enhanced Movement Control Order," he said.
He added that all were arrested and compounds were issued under Section 22 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988, Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act, Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
