KUALA LUMPUR: Two men were arrested outside Cheras Stadium following a clash between Kuala Lumpur City and Selangor FC fans at the end of the Liga Super game last night.
Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said the brawl started shortly after the game ended at about 12.30am.
"Police officers on duty tried to bring the situation under control by instructing all of them to disperse. But the two suspects refused and proceeded to cause more commotion at the scene.
"The two, aged 22 and 23, ignored the order before they were apprehended," he said.
Muhammad Idzam said both men had been remanded for three days until March 7 to facilitate investigation under Section 117 of the Penal Code.
He advised the public to obey the rules and orders of enforcement officers on duty.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated development last night, police from Cheras gambling, anti-vice and secret societies division (D7) arrested four men in a raid at an entertainment outlet in Cheras Business Centre.
Idzam said one local and three foreigners employed at the outlet were picked up while 121 customers were issued with compounds.
"All those arrested are between 27 and 42 years old, and all of them did not have any criminal record," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 4(1)(b) of the Federal Territories Entertainment Act 1992, Section 76 of the Excise Act 1976 and Section 55B/6 (1) (c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
