GEORGE TOWN: A man has been detained for allegedly attacking Penang Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo on Friday.

State police chief Datuk Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain confirmed the suspect has been arrested.

"The suspect has been nabbed and is being remanded for two days," he said.

The case is being probed under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
