PUTRAJAYA: After spending more than six hours in his legal battle to overturn his conviction and sentence today, Datuk Seri Najib Razak spent some time to meet his supporters outside the Palace of Justice, here.
Najib who was seen visibly exhausted went outside the Palace of Justice to address his supporters who waited outside the compound as early as 7am this morning.
The group, believed to have been ferried via 10 buses from all across the peninsular were excited and cheered at the sight of Najib walking towards them.
The Pekan member of parliament told the group to be patient and hope for the best.
"I tried my best, let's pray... the fight must go on," he said briefly.
A five-member bench of the Federal Court, led by Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat is expected to deliver their judgement soon.
The other judges hearing Najib's appeal are Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim, and Federal Court Judges Datuk P Nalini, Datuk Mary Lim Thiam Suan and Datuk Muhammad Zabidin Mohd Diah.
This is Najib's final appeal to overturn his conviction and 12 years' jail sentence and RM210 million fine for misappropriating RM42 million of SRC International money.
