MACHANG: A man was found dead with gunshot wounds in front of a vehicle spare-parts shop in Kampung Hutan Kuin, here today.
It was learnt that the 37-year-old victim, who was driving a four-wheel drive vehicle, had stopped at the shop to buy some spare parts about 5.30pm.
It was unclear what had transpired after that or motive behind the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim's uncle Zuki Ibrahim, 38, when met at the Machang Hospital, said he found out about the incident from the victim's wife at 6pm.
"I was from Kuala Lumpur when I received the call and came straight to the Machang Hospital's forensic unit." he said.
Zuki said he last met the victim in August.
"He was a reserved person and not the type that will share problems with others," he added.
Zuki said he was told that the victim, from Pasir Puteh, was in Machang to purchase some spare-parts for his workshop.
