MIRI: A foreign man was found dead with gunshot wounds to his forehead, eyes, neck, and abdomen in a private oil palm plantation in Sepupok, Niah, here.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Alexson Naga Chabu said his team received a report on the body's discovery at 8pm last Monday.
"Investigations revealed that the victim is believed to be a 40-year-old foreigner.
"There are gunshot wounds on the victim's forehead, eyes, neck, and abdomen," he said in a statement today (July 31).
He said they were actively tracking down the suspect, and witnesses, and were gathering statements and evidence to assist with the investigation.
The case was being investigated under the Penal Code for murder.
