KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has charged a civil servant on suspicion of receiving bribes totaling approximately RM10,000 today at Shah Alam Sessions Court 2.

TV producer Suhaila Md Zaini, 44, pleaded not guilty and requested a trial to the charge before Judge Awang Kerisnada Awang Mahmud.

According to the charge, she allegedly received the money from the owner of FRZ Production, Fahror Rozi Zulkefli, a 34-year-old, through her Malayan Banking Berhad account.

She was accused of committing the offence on July 13, 2018.

As additional conditions, her passports are to be impounded and she must report to the MACC office on the first week of the month.

Judge Awang then set bail at RM7,000 with one surety, and Suhaila is required to attend bail renewal at the nearest MACC office at the beginning of each month.
