KUALA LUMPUR: A group of Coldplay fans claimed they were scammed of around RM70,000 when they were unable to enter the National Stadium Bukit Jalil to watch the band's concert here, yesterday.
The owner of a TikTok account, Abg. Supra, claimed that the group had bought tickets from an individual and they had been queuing to enter the stadium since early morning.
"All of us have been scammed, the tickets we bought and received were not valid.
"Now, we have to sit outside the stadium and listen to the concert. At least we can feel like we were a part of the concert," he said.
"All of us came together in groups. Some of us purchased VIP tickets for more than RM3,000, and the rest were tickets for RM758, RM598. The total estimate is between RM60,000 to RM70,000," he said.
However, the group of fans refused to be disheartened and are planning to go to Singapore in January next year to watch the concert there.
A few days before yesterday's concert, the resale of tickets was rampant on social media, especially on the X application.
However, during the concert some buyers were denied entry because the secretariat found their tickets were invalid.
