NILAI: A woman and her two children were found dead in a house in Lenggeng, here, yesterday.
Nilai district police chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim said the Lenggeng police station received a call from a man regarding the incident at 9.25pm, last night.
Initial investigations found a 34-year-old woman and two girls aged three and six, dead at the scene.
According to Abdul Malik, the police also found a note, believed to be from the deceased, at the scene. The woman stated that she was facing marital problems.
"As a result, a team of police from the Nilai district Criminal Investigation Division (CID) arrested the deceased's husband at around 1am today," he said.
"The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. A remand application was made at the Seremban magistrate's Court this morning, and remand was granted for four days starting today until Feb 23," he added.
Abdul Malik said all three bodies were sent to the Forensic Department of Tuanku Jaafar Hospital (HTJ), Seremban, for post-mortem examination.
