KUALA LANGAT: A part-time photographer was fatally stabbed by his girlfriend at a house in Bandar Rimbayu near here yesterday.
Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor @ Saleh said they received a report at 9:41 am from a doctor at Cyberjaya Hospital, informing them that a patient had been admitted in an unconscious state.
The complainant administered emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for 30 minutes but received no response and found no pulse from the victim.
"The 26-year-old victim was subsequently pronounced dead at 7:25 am yesterday with stab wounds on the left wrist and left leg believed to be inflicted by a knife.
"A team from the district Criminal Investigation Division arrested the victim's girlfriend at the hospital premises.
"Upon investigation, it was found that the 26-year-old local woman was a former medical student and worked as a part-time model with no prior criminal record.
"Initial investigations revealed that the cause of the incident was jealousy as the suspect believed the victim had been unfaithful to her," he said in a statement.
Ahmad Ridhwan said the suspect have been remanded for six days starting today for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
