SHAH ALAM: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today obtained a five-day remand against two people, including a company director, suspected of making false claims to the Kuala Langat National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN).
Magistrate Farah Rosnan granted the remand order after the anti-graft agency made the application against the duo, a male and female suspect aged 52 and 59 respectively, to facilitate investigation into the case.
The suspects, who are unrelated, had submitted documents with alleged false claims for the institute's 'Bootcamp Dekorator' programme but such services were never fully provided.
The male suspect, a worker of Syarikat ZNS Global Logistic Sdn Bhd, had handled and submitted the payment document with false details amounting to RM40,980.
The female suspect, the director of Syarikat Sinergia Asia Sdn Bhd, had submitted the payment document with false details to provide food, beverage and laundry services at the sum of RM36,000.
