PETALING JAYA: The reenactment of the incidents leading up to the murder of 6-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Mateen was carried out by police today under very strict conditions.
As early as 10am, a police team set up two roadblocks leading to Block R, the residence of Zayn and his parents.
The movements of the media were controlled and they were instructed to stay in a gazebo while each resident was accompanied by policemen.
At the same time, the investigation team, consisting of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Selangor contingent police headquarters and investigation officers from the Petaling Jaya police headquarters, carried out the reenactment process.
It is understood that the police also brought a mannequin to be used as Zayn's body for reenacting the incidents leading up to the boy's death.
As of 11am, members of the media caught a glimpse of Zayn's mother, while his father's presence at the location has not been confirmed.
