KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained three Malaysian men and 58 illegals for not possessing valid passes at a factory in Bandar Tenggara, Kota Tinggi, Johor.
Kota Tinggi police chief Superintendent Hussin Zamora said the arrests took place at 3.30am yesterday.
He said the raiding team comprised the police's PGA Battalion 5 from Simpang Renggam, the Environment Department and state Customs Department.
"The team detained two Malaysian men, who are the factory's caretakers, and 58 illegals aged between 18 and 53."
He said police seized a small transparent plastic bag containing 0.46gm of a substance suspected of being methamphetamine.
Police later arrested another Malaysian man, who's the factory's supervisor, at the Kota Tinggi police headquarters at 10.30pm to assist in the investigation.
The Environment Department had also started an investigation, he added.
