Nur Farah Kartini murder suspect brought to court for remand extension

HULU SELANGOR: The 26-year-old suspect in the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, on July 15, was brought to the Kuala Kubu Baru magistrate's court, this morning.

It is understood that the suspect, who is a police officer with the rank of Lance Corporal, was brought to court to obtain an extension on his remand which ended today.

The suspect, who was wearing a lockup uniform and a face mask, arrived at 9am in a police vehicle.

Previously, the suspect was remanded for seven days from July 16 until today to assist in the investigation according to Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Nur Farah Kartini's body was found in an oil palm plantation near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor around 6pm on Monday.

This was following the arrest of the suspect who is also a police officer after the victim was reported missing on July 11.

The victim, who worked at a car rental company, was delivering a rental car to a customer in a residential area in Tanjung Malim around 8am on July 10.

She was seen leaving in a red car after completing the delivery.
