Police to seek remand extension against Nur Farah Kartini murder suspect tomorrow

HULU SELANGOR: The policeman arrested in connection with the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah is expected to have his remand order extended on Monday.

District deputy police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus said the suspect will be brought to the Kuala Kubu Baru court tomorrow.

"We will bring him to the court house at 9am on Monday," he said when contacted today.

It was reported yesterday that a simcard believed to be used by the policeman arrested in connection with the murder was being analysed by police.

A police investigation team also went to an orchard at Kampung Klan Halt, Slim River to conduct further investigations earlier in the day.

They later returned to the Hulu Selangor police headquarters to analyse a red Toyota Vios which was used by the suspect.

Nur Farah Kartini went missing on July 11.

The victim, who worked at a car rental company, was delivering a rental car to a customer in a residential area in Tanjung Malim around 8am on July 10.

She was seen leaving in a red car after completing the delivery.

Her body was found near Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor around 6pm on Monday.A police lance corporal has been arrested in connection with the murder.
