JOHOR BARU: Four people, two men and two women, who were arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a 6-year-old Albertine Leo Jia Hui on Saturday, were remanded for four days beginning today.
Magistrate Suhaili Sapun granted the remand starting today to allow further investigations to be carried out under Section 365 of the Penal Code.
Three of the suspects were arrested at about 1.30pm in Gelang Patah, Iskandar Puteri yesterday, while the fourth suspect, a woman, was arrested late last night.
Leo went missing at about 8.30pm on Saturday while at the Eco Galleria business centre, Iskandar Puteri near here.
Police have reclassified the case under Section 365 of the Penal Code for kidnapping or abduction with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person.
