Albertine's parents believed to be heading to Selangor

JOHOR BARU: The parents of 6-year-old Albertine Leo Jia Hui who was reported missing in Iskandar Puteri, last Saturday, are understood to be on their way to Selangor.

Albertine Leo was found safe today, three days after she had gone missing at 8.30pm on Saturday while at the Eco Galleria business centre, Iskandar Puteri near here

Reporters who went to location of the child's disappearance found that the child's mother, Leo Qieo Xin, 37, was not there.

The mother had visited the location every day since her daughter's disappearance to await her return.

Attempts by the media to contact the mother were unsuccessful.

Johor police chief Commissioner M. Kumar confirmed at a press conference today that the child had been found at a hotel in Batang Kali.

He said a 31-year-old suspect was arrested at a hotel at 4am this morning.

"The suspect also had no connection or relationship with the victim. He will be brought back to Johor for further investigation.

"The victim is now safe," Kumar said.

Leo went missing at about 8.30pm on Saturday while at the Eco Galleria business centre, Iskandar Puteri near here.

Last night, Kumar said three suspects, aged between 28 and 55, were arrested in Iskandar Puteri, Gelang Patah, Johor to assist in the investigation.

He said in a statement said police have also reclassified the case under Section 365 of the Penal Code for kidnapping or abduction with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person.

The three suspects have been remanded for four days to facilitate investigations.

Following the arrest of the three, another female suspect is also believed to have been arrested yesterday.
