JOHOR BAHRU: A 10-year-old schoolboy feared missing has been found in a shopping mall in Johor Jaya.
Johor Baru Selatan police chief Assitant Commissioner Raub Selamat said the Primary Four student was reported missing by his mother.
The boy had failed to board his school bus after school this afternoon.
Police launched a search and found the boy at the mall at around 4.30pm.
"He admitted walking to the mall from his school, some three kilometres away," Raub said in a statement.
Earlier, a social media post asking for help to locate the missing boy went viral.
This comes after the kidnapping of six-year-old Albertine Leo Jia Hui from Eco Galleria in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
Leo was kidnapped on Saturday evening and rescued this morning from a hotel in Batang Kali, Selangor.
She was found safe.
Five people, including two women, have been arrested in connection with the case.
