On Aug 9, two women, including a teacher, were stabbed near a surau and a religious primary school in Kelana Jaya.
A manhunt was immediately activated to capture the suspect, believed to be a local man.
At 1.48pm, police received a 999 call from a local resident who reported that two women had been stabbed with a sharp weapon, likely a knife.
The incident took place near a surau, which also houses a religious primary school.
Both victims were initially treated by a Red Crescent medical team who arrived promptly at the scene before being transported to the hospital for further care.
One woman suffered injuries to her stomach and head, while the teacher sustained a severe wound on her left arm.
