Man fined RM3,000 for splashing red paint on house over unpaid loan

KUALA LUMPUR: A 29-year-old man has been fined RM3,000 after pleading guilty to vandalising a house in Kampung Baru Ayer Tawar with red paint earlier this year.

Fo Sie How, a retail assistant made the plea after the charge against him was read in the Seri Manjung Magistrate's Court in Lumut.

According to Kosmo!, Fo was accused of causing damage to the house by splashing red paint on its fence, walls, garden and flower pots, resulting in damages of RM2,000.

According to the facts of the case, two notes in Mandarin were left at the house, addressed to the victim's son.

The notes read, "Debt, pay up" and "This is a first warning".

Surveillance footage showed a white Proton Saga stopping in front of the house before a man exited the vehicle and splashed red paint on the property.

On Aug 3, Perak police arrested the man and seized a Proton Saga.
