Kuching man fined RM3,000 for smashing father's massage machine

KUALA LUMPUR: A 32-year-old man was fined RM3,000, in default six months' imprisonment, by the magistrates' court in Kuching, Sarawak, today for destroying his father's massage machine, reports said.

According to The Borneo Post, Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali imposed the sentence on Lu Jin Peng after he pleaded guilty to committing mischief under Section 427 of the Penal Code.

The report said Lu was charged with committing the offence at Mile 4, Jalan Penrissen, at around 10am on Dec 11.

According to court documents, Lu's father returned home to find the house in disarray. He later discovered Lu in the kitchen allegedly consuming drugs.

Upon entering his bedroom, the complainant found his massage machine smashed on the floor.

He suspected his son of causing the damage, as the two were the only occupants of the house.

Concerned that Lu could turn violent, his father lodged a police report.

Lu was subsequently arrested on Dec 12, and the damage to the massage machine was estimated at RM600.

The prosecution was led by Assistant Superintendent Arman Ibrahim, while Lu was not represented.
