City Hall takes action against businesses run by foreigners in Kepong [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR:  A team comprising those from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall's Kepong branch office and its enforcement department carried out a special action operation on business premises run by foreigners and those that employ foreigners around the Kepong parliamentary constituency on Tuesday.

In the operation, four premises were subject to enforcement action, three of which were subjected to immediate confiscation under the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974, and one premises was subject to compound action under the Trade, Business, and Industrial Licensing Act (WPKL) 2016.

All the seized items were taken to the City Hall seizure storage at Jalan Lombong, Taman Miharja Cheras for documentation and further action," it said in a statement posted on Facebook.

It added that continuous actions and monitoring would be carried out through a series of special operations in the 11 parliamentary constituencies in Kuala Lumpur.
