KUALA LUMPUR: An ambulance driver and a nurse are in critical condition after their ambulance collided with a lorry parked on the side of the road.
Buletin TV3 reported that the accident occurred on Jalan Memaloi in Skrang at 4.20m today (Sept 9).
A Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operations control centre spokesperson said they received a distress call on the incident at 4.24am today, and dispatched eight personnel from the Betong Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
"Upon arrival, the operations commander reported that the crash involved a Health Ministry ambulance which rammed into the rear of a trailer which had stopped on the roadside.
"There were two victims who suffered severe injuries, a male (the driver) and a female (the passenger)," he said as quoted by Buletin TV3.
