Busking Moroccan tourists nabbed in Immigration raid

KUALA LUMPUR: Two Moroccan tourists busking in Bukit Bintang were nabbed by the Immigration Department at 1.30am today.

One of those detained, Khalid, 30, said: "We came as tourists and stayed in a nearby hotel, playing music and dancing to earn money for food.

"We can earn RM200 a day, which is enough for the two of us to eat each day."

Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department director Wan Mohamed Saupee Wan Yusoff said both men had misused their social visit passes.

They had entered the country on Oct 11, he added.
