MACC seizes RM200,000 in handbags, luxury watch from FashionValet founders

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) seized several items, including 11 handbags and a luxury watch worth approximately RM200,000, during a raid on the home of FashionValet founders Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar in Mont Kiara today.

Sources said the couple arrived at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 1pm to continue giving their statements before being taken to their residence at 5.30pm for further inspection.

"Apart from 12 MACC officers, the couple's lawyer was also present during the raid.

"The search ended at around 8pm, with the seizure of the 11 handbags and a luxury watch, with a total estimated value of around RM200,000," said the source.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, when contacted, confirmed the matter and said the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 for providing documents such as receipts/invoices that are false or contain false details with the intention to deceive the principal..
