KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will continue recording statements from FashionValet founders Datin Vivy Yusof and Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar tomorrow.
Its chief commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki, said the couple will appear at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am.
Earlier, it was reported that the MACC seized several items, including 11 handbags and a luxury watch worth approximately RM200,000, during a raid on the couple's home in Mont Kiara here today.
Azam confirmed the matter and said the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 for providing documents such as receipts/invoices that are false or contain false details with the intention to deceive the principal.
On Oct 29, the Finance Ministry, in a parliamentary written reply, said Permodalan Nasional Bhd and Khazanah Nasional Bhd lost RM43.9 million from the sale of their minority stakes in FasionValet.
In 2018, Khazanah had invested RM27 million and PNB RM20 million in the company.
The matter caught the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who had instructed Khazanah to conduct an internal audit of its loss-making investment in FashionValet.
