TELUK INTAN: A 31-year-old doctor was charged at the Magistrate's Court here today with recording a video of a woman's backside and body in July.
Dr Amirul Haqim Ayub pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him before magistrate Naidatul Athirah Azman.
According to the charge sheet, the accused was charged with intentionally outraging the modesty of a 27-year-old employee of a beauty and health store by recording a video of her backside and body using a mobile phone.
He was charged with committing the offence at the woman's workplace in Jalan Changkat Jong here at 6.30pm on July 12.
Prosecuting officer Inspector Nurul Farahdiana Md Saad proposed bail at RM8,000.
Lawyer S Kumaresan from the National Legal Aid Foundation, who represented the accused, appealed for lower bail on the grounds that his client has to look after his wife.
Naidatul Athirah later allowed bail at RM3,500 with one surety and fixed Dec 30 as mention.
According to the report lodged over the case, the incident allegedly occurred while the woman was arranging items at the store where she worked.
