BUTTERWORTH: A man was charged at the Sessions Court here today with ramming his vehicle into a policeman last month.
Muhamad Solehin Abdul Azih, 31, pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him by the court interpreter before judge Nor Azah Kasran.
Sentencing has been fixed at a later date pending medical report.
Solehin admitted to ramming his car into Amir Ilyas, 27, knowing his action could cause his death.
He committed the offence at the Taman Seruling Emas Flat in Seberang Prai Selatan at 4.26am on Nov 26.
The charge was frame under Section 307 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34.
The offence carries maximum 20 years' imprisonment if convicted.
Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Rafaie Mohamed Riyaludin prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented.
Rafaie asked the court to set another date pending medical report.
"No bail is offered," he said.
Azah did not grant bail.
