In a statement today, Lebuhraya Kajang Seremban Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Wan Salwani Wan Yusoff said Lekas will be the first highway to close its access temporarily for the night cycling event.
She said Lekas estimates that around 50,000 commuters will be affected by the road closure.
“We obtained approval from the Works Ministry and the Malaysia Highway Authority (MHA) to be the venue sponsor.
“Bukit Aman’s Traffic Division also approved the traffic management plan on total road closure for the event,” she said.
Wan Salwani said a total of 16 junctions will be closed for the event to ensure smooth and safe rides for the participants.
The closure will extend from the Kajang Selatan Interchange to the Paroi Junction.
Road users travelling from Seremban, Senawang and Kuala Pilah are advised to use alternative routes, namely Federal Route 1 and the Plus Highway.
Lekas extends its apology for any inconvenience caused.
