GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) arrested three more Zakat Penang (ZPP) officers today as part of its widening probe into the agency’s graft scandal.
In a statement today, Penang MACC director Datuk Abd Aziz Aban said the three men, aged between 33 and 49, were arrested at 4.30pm at the ZPP office here.
'MACC has also called three other ZPP officers and two individuals – a businessman and a contractor – to record their statements," he said.
The MACC has so far arrested and released two ZPP officials, allegedly involved in the case, on RM10,000 bail.
Eight contractors, also allegedly involved, were also released on RM5,000 bail each.
