MACC opens office in Cameron Highlands to combat corruption

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has opened a new branch in Cameron Highlands to make it easier for locals to report corruption in the district.

In a statement today, the commission said the new branch, located in Tanah Rata, started operations on July 1.

"MACC has opened a new branch office in Cameron Highlands as part of its efforts to expand its services and make it easier for local residents to interact with the commission," it said.

The office is located at C-1-29, Cameron Fair, Jalan Persiaran Camelia.

"The 57.8sq m office is equipped with the branch head's office, an interrogation room, and workspace for up to four MACC staff members," MACC said.

The branch was officiated by MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya.

The public can reach the office at 05-485 0007.
