SEREMBAN: Up to 13 motorcycles parked on the third level of the Terminal One shopping mall here were destroyed in a fire which broke out at 1pm today.
The motorcycles are believed to have belonged to patrons of the shopping centre.
The 13 motorcycles were 100 per cent destroyed, while three others were approximately 50 per cent damaged.
Seremban Fire and Rescue head of operations, Razali Abdul Kadir, said 18 firemen, a fire engine and a team from the Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) were rushed to the scene as soon as the department received an emergency call at 1.39pm.
“We managed to control the fire from spreading to other motorcycles parked in the area. They were about 70 motorcycles at the location when the incident occurred,” he said.
Razali said no casualties were reported, and that the cause of the fire and losses incurred are still being investigated.
