Twins among 2308 who enrol at UniMap

KANGAR: The wishes of a set of twins to further their studies together was fulfilled when they enrolled at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) here today .

Satiawani and Satiabani Nagarayah, 20, who enrolled in the New Media Communication programme were thrilled to begin their new life together at the campus.

“This is the first time we will be away from home but for our future and to repay the sacrifices made by our parents in putting us through school, we were determined to enrol at UniMAP,” said Satiawani.

The sisters from Kajang, Selangor, said they chose UniMap because of the success stories they had heard about the university.

They also believe that they can overcome challenges during their three years at the university by relying on each other.

“We have our parents support and we have each other to lean on in case we have difficulties during our study years,” she added.

The two girls were among 2,308 new students registered at UniMAP today.

The university offered a total of 2,625 places for new students and the rest of the places will be filled during its second intake.
