KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah vice president Datuk Peter Anthony was discharged this afternoon from a private hospital in Damai here where he had been receiving treatment while under remand.
According to a party source, Peter left his room at 1.10pm and was greeted by family members and supporters in the hospital lobby.
Earlier this morning, he was released from remand by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on RM50,000 MACC bail (un-deposited), with two sureties, in front of magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus.
Peter was arrested last week as part of the MACC’s probe into the mishandling of funds for federal projects in Sabah, which led to his remand on Friday and an extension on Tuesday.
He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night, complaining of dehydration and head pains.
