KUANTAN: Pictures of several senior citizens living in a nursing home along Jalan P. Ramlee trapped by rising floodwaters have gone viral on social media.
The images included one where an elderly woman was seen in waist-deep murky flood water, surrounded by floating pillows and plastic items.
In another image, an elderly man and woman with drenched clothes were seen attempting to assist another senior citizen wade through flood waters.
All the occupants were believed to have been evacuated elsewhere as numerous calls to the home have gone unanswered.
The home along Jalan P.Ramlee here is among several submerged due to the massive floods which had inundated Penang island and mainland.
