PUTRAJAYA: Application for next year's 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) payment can be made from Nov 27 to Dec 31, said Finance Ministry.
In a statement, the ministry said applicants can apply and update their particulars either by manually filling up the form or go online via BR1M's official website, https://ebr1m.hasil.gov.my.
The form is available at Inland Revenue Board's branch offices, IRB service centres and Urban Transformation Centres nationwide.
"The spouse of this year's BR1M recipient who had passed away, applicants who had failed or not eligible for the scheme last year are required to make a new application for the 2018 BR1M.
"For the existing recipients, they need to update their details at least every three years.
"We would like to inform that the government has never issued any statement on BR1M via WhatsApp application or any social media platforms.
Valid information on BR1M, the ministry said is only available in 2018 BR1M brochures distributed to all recipients as well as through the https://ebr1m.hasil.gov.my.
"The government hopes the BR1M payment will ease the burden of the people," the statement read.

In the recent tabling of 2018 Budget, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced that BR1M, which will be given to 7 million recipients with an allocation of RM6.8 billion, would be continued with a maximum payout of RM1,200.
