KUALA LUMPUR: A giant metal pipe being transported by a trailer truck fell onto a busy road near an underpass here on Sunday morning.
The incident forced the temporary closure of a stretch of road near the Cheras roundabout heading towards Jalan Shamelin.
City Traffic deputy chief Superintendent Ahmad Adnan said the metal pipe fell off the trailer truck at about 9.40am, and ended up blocking the left lane of the road.
“The route heading to the (underpass) from Kajang was temporarily closed to allow the removal of the pipe,” he said, adding that traffic police were deployed to handle the situation.
No vehicle was damaged in the incident.
