KUALA LUMPUR: Air Selangor is repairing a burst pipe in Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
City Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif dismissed claims that there was another sinkhole on Jalan Sultan Ismail.
"According to reports from Air Selangor, there is a water pipe leak and repair work is underway. It is not a sinkhole," she said briefly when contacted today.
According to Air Selangor, the repair work began at 9.15am today, and is expected to be completed by 9.15pm.
Areas affected include Jalan Pinang, Jalan Stonor, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Kia Peng, Jalan Perak, Jalan Conlay, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman, Changkat Kia Peng, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Persiaran Stonor.
Earlier today, a post went viral that another sinkhole had emerged on Jalan Sultan Ismail, near Jalan Raja Chulan.
