KUALA LUMPUR: Flash floods hit several areas in the Klang Valley today following the heavy afternoon downpour.
It was reported that motorists along Persiaran Surian near Ikea were caught in a 7km long crawl as a part of the road was inundated by floodwaters.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said six cars were submerged.
"The water has started to recede and traffic in under control with the assistance of the Fire and Rescue Department," he said.
Others affected areas were Rahmat Jaya, Kampung Bahagia, and Jalan 27 near Jusco Rawang in Gombak.
