Former Auditor-General Tan Sri Ishak Tadin dies

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Auditor-General Tan Sri Ishak Tadin has passed away at his home in Jalan Chan Chin Mooi, Tasik Titiwangsa, here yesterday.

He was 86.

His brother-in-law, Zulkhairi Abdul Samad, 60, said Ishak breathed his last at 2.30pm due to old age.

Zulkhairi said the funeral prayer for Ishak was performed at the Ibnu Sina Mosque before his remains were laid to rest at the Taman Tasik Titiwangsa Muslim cemetery.

“He was a nice, quiet person and had always given priority to the administration of the country. He was committed to his career,” Zulkhairi told Bernama.

Ishak leaves behind wife, Puan Sri Sa’adah Abd Samad, a son and two daughters.

Ishak had served as Transport Ministry secretary-general from March 1, 1981 to May 31, 1986 before being appointed as Auditor-General from 1986 to 1994.
