BENTONG: Twenty three people sustained injuries in a bus-car crash on the road coming down from Genting Highland this evening.
The 7.15pm accident took place at Km17.3 of the Genting Highland - Kuala Lumpur road and was believed to have taken place when a travel bus crashed into a Honda Accord.
The victims comprised 18 passengers in the bus which was made up of 16 Chinese tourists, bus driver and a tour guide as well as five persons traveling in the Accord.
All were sent to the Selayang Hospital to receive treatment.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Mohd Sani Harun said a team from Genting fire station was deployed to the scene upon receiving a distress call at 7.24pm.
"The bus, was traveling from a hotel in Genting Highlands and was headed towards to Subang Jaya, believed to have rear-ended the car before both vehicles crashed into divider on the right,” he said.
