KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak tonight announced that Sabah and Sarawak's rights will be returned to respective governments if Barisan Nasional (BN) wins the 14th General Election.
The BN chairman, said the coalition would also establish English-medium schools as a pilot project in both states.
"We will return the rights, that we may have unwittingly taken over, or deliberately took during that person's reign of power, as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
"We will also return the rights to coordinate power supply and gas to Sabah and Sarawak governments," Najib said at the Bukit Jalil Axiata Arena at the unveiling of BN's election manifesto.
Najib also said BN would continue to build 12,500km rural roads in both states.
